Introduction to the Finishing Sequence

The ending ties together everything you've done in the form. The goal is a smooth transition from the punch and sleeve-wipe into a forward push, then a composed block and a gathered close. Attention to weight distribution, foot placement, and relaxed elbows will make the sequence look strong and natural.

1. From the punch to the sleeve wipe and pull

After completing your punch, immediately wipe the sleeve and pull back. This helps reset your balance and prepares the hands for the forward push. Keep the gesture compact and intentional.

2. Push forward — starting the transition

Push both hands forward to about heart level. Let the push create a slight forward lean so you can slide the back foot inward toward the center line. Keep the lean subtle — just enough to allow the adjustment without sacrificing stability.

3. Adjust the back foot and rise the hands

As the back foot slides forward, lift the hands into a blocking position. Once the back foot is stable, adjust the left foot. This squares your stance and sets up the closing movement.

4. Set both feet, prepare the wipe

Place both feet straight and shoulder-width apart. Bring the left hand near the heart, then wipe it gently over the right hand. Keep the elbows relaxed so the arms naturally lower with ease.

5. Gather and close

Finish by stepping the left foot next to the right and bringing the hands down into a composed close. Stand tall, feet together, hands settled, and posture upright — a calm conclusion to the form.
